Manchester-based PR agency Sway PR is celebrating its latest win at the 2022 Creativepool Awards for its work on the Highland Kings Ultra – dubbed “the world’s first luxury ultramarathon”. It was awarded Bronze in the category: Creativepool PR campaign of the year.
The campaign secured an impressive 166 global media placements, reaching more than 500 million people and creating 62 backlinks. The explosion of global coverage resulted in almost a quarter of a million pounds in bookings for the team.
Mark Hayward, managing director of Sway PR, said: “We’re thrilled to have been recognised for the coverage we generated for the Highland Kings Ultra.
“While the Highland Kings Ultra is disrupting the market by bringing luxury to ultra-running, this campaign gave us the opportunity to combine two of our specialties – sport and fitness, as well as luxury consumer brands.
“This award win is a real testament to the dedication and expertise of the team at Sway PR.”
Rebecca Silva, director of Highland Kings Ultra, said: “We couldn’t have dreamed of the start we had for the event – and that was all down to the incredible PR from the team at Sway PR.
Sabine Huckmann, CEO of Ketchum Germany and Creativepool judge, added: “From the word go, the team set a clear strategy and delivered with quality media coverage starting in the UK, and then around the world.”
“Although it’s “just” great PR craftmanship, they had the audacity to speak about the obvious but uncomfortable – and they delivered metrics on impact on brand/organisation.”
As well as continuing to grow its client base, Sway PR aims to expand its in-house team, enhancing its reputation as one of the UK’s top performing small agencies.
