Mark Hayward FCIM (Sway PR founder)
With extensive experience in both B2B and consumer PR, Mark is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing who has supported travel destinations, hospitality, business and professional service companies with quality, and award-winning, PR and media relations support over the past 25 years.
Since founding his first agency in 2002, which he sold just three years later, Mark has been directly responsible for award-winning campaigns for events including the ITU World Cup Triathlon on behalf of Salford City Council and the Highland Kings ultra run; charities including Bipolar UK.
Mark has managed high-profile campaigns with international media interest including media coordination for Esther Ghey around her campaigns for safeguarding for young people on mobile phones and mindfulness in schools; worked with major brands including the National Lottery, B&Q, Costa, and Starbucks; supported inspiring athletes including ‘Polar’ Preet Chandi, Hari Budha Magar and Eilish McColgan; and launched and supported hotels with PR including the Liverpool Hilton and Worsley Park Marriott Hotel and Country Club.
Every campaign Mark works on is results driven. It must work to fulfil our clients’ objectives. It is this focus that has allowed Mark to grow a reputation for PR campaigns that have true impact. A recent client survey highlighted that 100% of clients were ‘very satisfied’ with the work from Sway, with 92% saying that there was a measurable impact as a result of the work.
Outside of work Mark values family and loves the outdoors and sport. Having spent time in India (rebuilding a primary school in 1997), two months in Botswana (working on an AIDS awareness campaign in 2000) and extensive travel with his wife – Mark also believes in the value of experiences, food, and meeting people from different cultures around the world.
