Sway has appointed Steve Kelly as its new head of media.

The Manchester-based consultancy has hired the former senior national journalist to help drive new business and develop client strategies across its rapidly expanding client roster.

Kelly’s 20-year media career includes six at award-winning agencies including Intelligent Conversation, SLG Marketing and Frontier PR.

Kelly, whose journalism career includes stints at Mirror Online and Daily Star Online, said he was delighted to be joining the agency.

“I’ve been incredibly impressed with the values and vision Mark and the team have for the future of Sway.

Launched in 2011, Sway has celebrated a string of client wins in recent months, including sports hydration consultancy Precision Hydration, wilderness adventure organiser Primal Adventures and heat pack retailer ThermoDR.
